I read "A Separate Peace" years ago when I was a student in London -- not as a school-book, not as a YA novel, but as a piece of fiction that many people were reading at that time. I was very moved by it then, and I am now inclined to re-read it. It amazes me that American school districts should have thought it "unsuitable."
