Japan was at war in China, but no where else. It was only after Pearl Harbor and the US entered the war, that a strong alliance formed. <br /><br />I don't know if the Jews were welcomed or not, to tell you the truth. I’ve just spent some time looking around the Internet, and I see there was a film made about his life but even that passed me by. I was reminded of Oscar Schindler while reading your post.
